Welcome to Western from the Office of Orientation and Transition!
We support the transition process of new students and their family members to the WWU community through the orientation process, access to academic advising and registration programs, and special events for students and families during your time at Western.
Orientation to campus is a process to support students’ academic, personal, and social transition to the University community. For new students, we coordinate academic advising and class registration programs, along with orientation resources, based on your student type (First-Year, Transfer, Post-Bacc) and which quarter you are entering Western. For parents and family members, we offer year-round communications such as monthly e-newsletters and calendars, parent/family-themed orientation resources, and an annual resource fair event in the fall for students and families.
Let us help you get started!
